Falafel Bites with Mint Tahini

Herby falafel bites with a pourable tahini sauce sharpened by lemon and fresh mint.

Ingredients

  • 18 small cooked falafel
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • Cold water as needed
  • Salt and olive oil

Method

  1. Warm or fry falafel until crisp.
  2. Blend tahini, mint, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, salt, and a splash of water.
  3. Add more cold water until the sauce is smooth and spoonable.
  4. Arrange falafel on a platter.
  5. Drizzle with mint tahini and a little olive oil.

Fresh Mint Tip

Blend mint into tahini right before serving; the sauce will be brightest in the first hour.
